15 AMAZING AND RARE NATURAL PHENOMENONS ON EARTH

Nature is not only occasionally quirky; it is downright mysterious and beautiful. It turns out that the earth is filled with rarities so odd they have defied explanations for millennia, and even today many of them remain hard to define. Some events are so rare they only occur one place in the world, or have only been seen by a small number of people. Others may be more common but are just as mysterious and incredible. So take heart that the savage maelstrom, the ethereal foxfire, and the beautiful ball lightning really exist in the world…but maybe don’t get too close, because these phenomena really don’t hold their punches.
