Are you Christ Like?

Image
If you were John the Baptist, would you pray that your cousin's ministry grows while your own decreases? If you were incarcerated like Peter, and was beaten, and warned by the powers that be, to never preach about Jesus as Messiah again. As soon as you're released from prison, would you go right back to teaching that Jesus is Messiah, or will you doctor your message; perhaps become a motivational speaker? #These days all it takes to turn a prophet of GOD into a motivational speaker is some good old mint cash (kudi, owo, money). If you were Sarah, and you knew your spouse doesn't have an ambition, goals, or aspiration other than to please GOD; and he would even risk his family's lives to do just that, would you submit/follow him anyways? If like Paul, you knew, you would be bound and killed in Rome, ( a famous prophet Agabus, even prophesied it), would you go to Rome anyway? If you were Jesus, and you saw before hand that you would be made to suffer and killed in J...

ON BIAFRA'S AGITATION

Image
On Biafra, what can one say? They don't know their history! Anyway, I think U have a right to protest being marginalized, but so are the Kanuris, the Ijaws, the Nupes, the Ijeshas, the Gwaris, the Igalas etc etc. You see, we have a common problem, we've all been marginalized except those at the center. So why don't we all come together and ask this government to deliver on their promises? But, I however don't understand this sudden agitation, considering the fact that U were very loud in the last elections. Or is it because you all are terrible losers? Anyways, if U insist on protesting, be rest assured that PMB will not handle this agitation the same way GEJ handled Boko Haram. "Whoever looks into the eyes of a dying soldier on the battle field, will think twice before starting a war"! So be guided! #commonsenseiscommon

STEVE JOB'S LAST WORD...

Image
I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death. In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer… Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth… Should be something that is more important: Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days. Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me. God gave us the senses to let us ...

CUCUMBERS....

Image
Cucumbers belong to the same plant family as squash, pumpkin, and watermelon (the Cucurbitaceae family). Like watermelon, cucumbers are made up of mostly (95 percent) water, which means eating them on a hot summer day can help you stay hydrated. However, there's reason to eat cucumbers all year long. With vitamin K, B vitamins, copper, potassium, vitamin C, and manganese, cucumbers can help you to avoid nutrient deficiencies that are widespread among those eating a typical American diet. Plus, cucumbers contain unique polyphenols and other compounds that may help reduce your risk of chronic diseases and much, much more. 9 Reasons to Eat Cucumbers 1. Protect Your Brain Cucumbers contain an anti-inflammatory flavonol called fisetin that appears to play an important role in brain health. In addition to improving your memory and protecting your nerve cells from age-related decline, fisetin has been found to prevent progressive memory and learning impairments in m...

HOPE!

Image
It is hope that keeps us all alive. It is hope that makes you wake up every morning and gives life another push. Though your job applications have been rejected time and again, it is hope that makes you submit it; time and again. Although he’s already three years old, he’s yet to utter his first word, he still can not stand on his feet. It is hope that makes that mother wake her child up every morning, wash his body, clean his teeth, oil his hair and wear him some beautiful pair of new clothes. It is Hope that makes her smile at him and waits patiently for his first word. It is only in hope that a student would find the courage to write an exam over and over again, hoping someday he’ll tell his story of how many times he had to try to succeed. You see, it is hope that keeps us all alive. It is hope that makes that beautiful young lady swallow her pride and ego to make that call that is going to change everything in her life. Because she knows the truth; he is the tr...

Where did we go Wrong?

Image
WHERE DID WE GO WRONG? WAKE UP NIGERIAN YOUTHS Awolowo was 37 years, Akintola 36, Ahmadu Bello 36, Balewa 34, Okotie-Eboh 27, & Enahoro 27 and they led the struggle for Nigeria Independence after the death of Macaulay. Only Zik was 42 at the time. In 1966, the first coup was led by: K Nzeogwu who was 29 years and countered by M Mohammed 28, T Danjuma 28, Babangida 25, Garba 23, Sani Abacha 23, and Yaradua 23, and brought into power Gowon 32, Ojukwu 33, Obasanjo 29, and Buhari 24. Most of the military governors who governed the states under the successive military regimes were under 30 years. The brief democratic dispensation which interjected the military interregnums also saw some Senators, and the House of Representatives, in particular, populated by members under 30. Under 30's were also not in short supply with appointments - we have examples of MT Mbu who became foreign affairs minister at 23 and Pat Utomi who became a federal adviser at 27 and so on and so forth. Ways To Make a Great First Impression

Image
Genuine smiles are a winning ticket for creating a great first impression, as is a firm handshake and purposeful eye contact. It has often been said that, “You only get one chance to make a first impression.” Whether you are networking, interviewing for a job or meeting new colleagues for the first time,  when you meet someone for the first time, they are taking a rapid inventory of your gait, your smile, your handshake, and how you present yourself. As you are making your approach, they are also deciding if they can trust you, if you are genuinely nice, if they want to know and work with you, so many questions are answered in those first few critical seconds based on what they see, and how you make them feel. Here are some guidelines to keep in mind which will make a good first impression. 1. Be mindful of how you appear to others From head to toe, you want to be sure that you are portraying the image that presents you in the best possible light. Prepare yourself w...
