Many questions are already being raised about the grand jury decision not to indict Darren Wilson, the white police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, in Ferguson, Missouri in August. However, many of those questions will, by necessity, remain unresolved: without hearing the same evidence the jury has heard in closed sessions over the past four months, it’s very hard to assess the soundness of their decision. What is safe to say about the failure to indict is that it isn’t entirely surprising.  While allegations of police brutality are common in the US, it is extremely rare for them to result in criminal charges—or even disciplinary sanctions. Old school rap artist, Cool C has been on death row for nearly two decades – now he would be executed on January 8, 2015. According to MTO, the rapper who was convicted of murdering a Philadelphia police officer, with his accomplice legendary rapper Steady B, when they attempted a bank robbery, during which an Officer, Lauretha Vaird was killed would be executed next year. Cool C was tried and convicted of capital m****r, while Steady B, got life imprisonment without parole. So sad!!! Chelsea Handler must be missing the attention from her recently concluded talk show, because the shock jock has now gone on a social media offensive against Instagram on their topless policy against women's posted pictures. This is similar to the protest by Bruce Willis' daughter, Scout against Instagram back in June, read here. I wonder where all this is leading? Chelsea posted a topless picture of herself seating on a horse, right next to another one of Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Not too long after that, Instagram took it down, but she posted the picture again, and several others which have also been taken down.

Miley Cyrus appears to have moved on and Patrick Schwarzenegger is her new heartthrob. The young couple, both 21, put their budding romance on full display yesterday night at a University of California football game. Patrick Schwarzenegger is Arnold Schwarznegger's first son and a student at the university. I was one of those who was sad when Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split up last year. After they got engaged when she was barely 19, I was hopeful that though they met so young, they could make it work. Well they broke up, and now both have moved on. Reports are that Miley and her new boo have been dating for a couple of months now though they were first photographed together on Halloween morning outside of his apartment. A Saudi husband has reportedly divorced his wife after she failed to reply to a WhatsApp text message he sent to her. The couple have been married for two years, and the man sent the message from his office and waited for a response from his wife. But none came. Thinking something must be wrong, he rushed home to find her watching television. When he asked her why she did not respond, she said she was busy chatting with friends on WhatsApp and wanted to reply later. He divorced her instantly, the report added. The man was quoted as saying by the Gulf News; 'I sent her messages on Whatsapp and knew she had read them because of the latest update on the application but still she didn't answer me or acknowledged my messages.' China has jailed almost two dozen people including "wild imams" who preach illegally in the western region of Xinjiang where the government says Islamists are waging a violent campaign for a separate state, Chinese media reported on Tuesday. The 22 suspects were sentenced to prison terms ranging from five to 16 years at a mass public sentencing in Xinjiang on Monday, the state-controlled China News Service reported. As well as the imams, or Muslim religious leaders, those sentenced included religious leaders who engaged in religious activities after being sacked, as well as those who broke the law while at their posts, it said. Others were accused of inciting ethnic hatred, using superstition to destroy the law, and picking quarrels and provoking trouble, it said. Xinjiang is home to a mostly Muslim minority group known as Uighurs. A 90-year-old man is facing up to 60 days in jail for feeding the needy due to a new law that bans people in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from meal- sharing with the public. Arnold Abbott risks being fined $500 and spending time in prison after police officers apprehended him while he was handing out meals to homeless people in a park on Sunday. He was arrested and charged along with two ministers from the Sanctuary Church, which prepares hundreds of meals to dish out every week in their kitchen, while shocked onlookers shouted to officers "shame on you!" in a video published by NY Daily News . Mr Abbott said: "One of police officers came over and said ‘Drop that plate right now,’ as if I was carrying a weapon."  He added: "These are the poorest of the poor, they have nothing, they don't have a roof over their heads. Real Sociedad have appointed former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes as their new coach, the Basque outfit revealed on their website late on Monday night. Moyes was the Spanish side's top target after previous coach Jagoba Arrasate was sacked earlier this month, but negotiations dragged on over the weekend and former Betis boss Pepe Mel was waiting in the wings to take over if a deal for the Scot fell through. Real Sociedad had said that a successor to Arrasate would be named on Monday, however, and the Basque outfit confirmed the 51-year-old's appointment on their website. "Real Sociedad have reached an agreement with David Moyes to be the club's first-team coach until June 30, 2016," a short statement read.
