Islamic State massacres 322 members of Iraqi Sunni tribe in Anbar

At least 322 members of an Iraq Sunni tribe have been killed
in western Anbar province as a result of mass killings by
Islamic State (IS) militants, says Iraqi government.

The human rights ministry of the country said that more than
50 bodies had been found dead while 65 members of the Al-
Bu Nimr tribe have been kidnapped, reported the BBC.

The ministry also said that the jihadists are holding the 65
hostages as prisoners of war. The militant group killed at
least 50 members of the tribe on Sunday morning.

A top leader of the tribe Sheikh Naeem Al Gaoud said that
they have been abandoned by the Iraqi government and given
to IS "on a platter".

He also said that they had requested the government for
weapons many a times but they were only given promises.
